Dr. Antalis and her team of dental professionals are excited to introduce laser dentistry to our practice. Laser dentistry allows us to deliver a very effective means of dental treatment without causing any discomfort to our patients.
The use of lasers in dental treatments vary--one of the frequently used applications of lasers is to help with the treatment of gum disease. Laser dentistry can remove diseased, infected, and inflamed soft tissue within the periodontal pocket. Treatment of canker sores, herpetic, and aphthous ulcers of the oral cavity are other useful means of laser dentistry.
By introducing laser dentistry to our practice, we are able to accommodate our patients by giving them easier and more predictable results in helping them with gum disease. Dr. Antalis uses a soft tissue diode laser to improve the tissue’s health. By using this soft tissue laser, we are able to provide treatments that take less time for our patients.
More importantly, our patients benefit from the use of laser dentistry by having minimally invasive procedures that ultimately result in a more comfortable experience. In the past, procedures would require cutting of the tissue, using traditional techniques of surgery. However, laser dentistry allows your dentist to correct the health of the tissue without any traditional surgery techniques. This ultimately produces much better results without any of the discomfort of traditional surgery. Frequently, patients experience little to no discomfort following laser treatment with results that are phenomenal.
